Visiting!
The main sight seeing in Tarahara would be the so called Chaar Koshe Jhaadi, a thick forest which stretches for more than 12 Kms in width and hundreds of kilometer in length. The second place to visit in the village would be the RARC (Regional Agricultural Research Center). I bet everybody enjoys gazing at those huge pigs they have there at the amimal center. The center has a horticulture center that produces various fruits, especially the litchis are very good during the summer. Also the fishery there is great. A stroll around the ponds during morning is really refreshing. The green grass and the view is really great.
In order to get to the village you can fly to Biratnagar regional airport which is an hour drive from the village. If you like road trip, you need to get onto Koshi Highway that connects Biratnagar and Dharan. The village lies 5 Km north of Itahari and 12 Km south of Dharan. Renting cars or any vehicles is like a never-heard story in this part of the world. You can hire taxi service or take a local bus. There are numerous day and night bus services from almost every part of the country. You can take any of them going to Dharan.
